What's wrong with this email?
1. This email came from a compromised account outside of NECC. It's a rarity that any account outside of an NECC account would be informing you of your NECC Service Desk ticket, this should be your first sign that something is amiss.
2. The email is signed "Instructor" - this is not a title used here by anyone in ITS.
3. NECC does not have a 'Self Service portal" - we have a "MyNECC Portal" and "Self-Service Banner".
4. If you hover (place your mouse pointer, but don't click) over the "Your incident" text, you'll see that the link they want you to click on will be taking you to https://jsocix.co.vu/review/. You will see that the domain ends in ".vu" - this is a website based out of Vanuatu, a large majority of phishing attempts come from websites based outside of the US.
