What's wrong with this email?
1. This email came from a compromised internal NECC account. So while the email may look like it's from a genuine source, it is in fact a fraudulent phishing attempt.
2. Emails that come from Blackboard will always have NECC_Mail@blackboard.com in the sender field. This one does not.
3. If you hover (place your mouse pointer, but don't click) over the "www.blackboard.com", "View" or "notification settings" text, you'll see that the link they want you to click on will be taking you to http://www.maine-coon.net.pl/necc/. You will see that the domain ends in ".pl" - this is a website based out of Poland, a large majority of phishing attempts come from websites based outside of the US. Just because there is "/necc/" in the URL, does not make it a valid NECC URL.
