Argos Upgrade

On Thursday March 7th at 8:00am, ArgosDev will be upgraded to the newest version of Argos, v6.1.1.  ArgosDev will be unavailable between 8:00am – 10:00am while ITS performs the upgrade.  Production Argos will not be impacted or upgraded during this time.  

We are looking to schedule the upgrade to Production on Monday March 25th.  So until then, along with ITS performing it’s own internal testing – we ask the Argos community to please run some of their reports in ArgosDev and if any issues are noticed to please open a Service Desk ticket and report them.

The three biggest benefits to the upgrade are:

1. Bringing Argos up to date in conjunction with the vendor release schedule
2. Updating the connection strings to allow the reports to be run faster
3. Removing the secondary login prompt where you are asked to enter your old Banner 8 password.  One last password to enter and remember, yay!

Again, only ArgosDev will be upgraded on March 7th, Production will not be impacted.  We are moving up a few versions in order to catch up to the vendor release schedule so all release notes are now available under the “Release Notes and Guides -> Argos” section of the BUG Community on Blackboard.  Only the latest Release Notes are now in that folder.
